PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania:

Hydel produced an outstanding all-round effort to break the Championship of America 4x400-metre relay record at the Penn Relays at the Franklin Field stadium today.

The Corey Bennett-coached team of Alliah Baker, Onieka McAnuff, Kerrica Hill and Brianna Lsyton clocked an impressive three minutes 32.77 seconds, erasing their 2017 mark of 3:33.99.

Edwin Allen was second in 3:39.76 and Bullis School from Maryland was third in 3:40.88.

Interestingly, Bennett was surprised by his team's record run in the event.

"No, I didn’t expect it [record] but I knew it was possible,” said Bennett.
