Big 200m win for Jackson in Rome

Tokyo Olympics 100 metres bronze medalist, Shericka Jackson upset double Olympic sprint champion Elaine Thompson-Herah in the women's 200 metres at the Diamond League meet in Rome today as Jamaica took the top two places in the event.

Jackson clocked a season's best and a new meet record of 21.91 seconds for her first Diamond League win in 2022. Thompson-Herah came second in a season's best 22.25 while reigning World champion Dina Asher-Smith of Great Britain came third in 22.27, also a season's best. Olympic 400m champion Shaunae Miller-Uibo of The Bahamas came fourth in 22.48.
