Concacaf Women's Championship | USA lead Jamaica 2-0 at halftime

World champions the United States are leading Jamaica 2-0 in Thursday's second Group A game of the Concacaf Women's Championship in Monterrey, Mexico.

Sophia Smith scored in the fifth and eighth minutes as the United States imposed their dominance from the opening whistle. The USA found the back of the net on two other occasions but the goals were ruled out after Video Assistant Reviews.

Jamaica's only shot on target came from Jody Brown in the first few minutes of the game. Khadija Shaw had an opportunity in the first minute of stoppage time but put her shot over the bar. The United States had nine shots with six of them on target.
