Reggae Boyz invited to play Morocco, Ghana, Qatar in Austria

Jamaica’s Senior Men’s National Team, the Reggae Boyz, have been invited to participate at the Austria Mini Football Tournament in Austria, hosted by Qatar, from August 20 to 26.

The other teams in the tournament are World Cup-bound Morocco, who enjoy a FIFA ranking of 22, Qatar (49) and Ghana (60). The games will be played on the August 20, 23, and 26 in Vienna, Austria. The delegation will arrive on August 17 and depart August 27.

A release from the Jamaica Football Federation expressed delight at the invitation, saying it would present a ‘tremendous opportunity for our ever-growing talent pool of international players.’

“This will showcase them to a worldwide audience, including Africa, the Middle-East and Europe,” the release read.
