Ricardo ‘Big 12’ Brown believes he is getting closer to a title fight after his dominant first-round knock-out win over Mexican Christian Lorrando at the Bay Arena in Canada on Saturday.

Brown’s reputation as a professional heavyweight boxer continues to grow, following his fourth straight KO in four fights.

Since turning professional back in March, Brown had one knock down and two wins by technical knock-out, and on the weekend it was no different for Lorrando, as he pommelled the big Mexican from the onse, and it was obvious that it was only a matter of time before Brown claimed his fourth straight win.

“It was a good fight. I trained very hard. So we put in the hard work and went out there. He (Lorrando) didn’t present any problems because I didn’t give him any chance. It feels good to see that I am stopping all these guys. I am much stronger than them and I just use that as an advantage to beat them up,” Brown told The Gleaner.

“Very soon I am looking to fight for a belt, although not right now. But they are working on it. Maybe when I am about 10 and zero. So I am nearly half way there.

“But I am continuing my journey and I am not looking back. I want that world title bout soon, so I have to keep this up. I believe it myself and I know I can do it, so I have been preparing for it.”

Brown sent Lorrando to the canvas with his devastating right hand, and the 32 year old said the fans love his style and want to see more.

When he fights again in September he also expects to see even more improvements to his game.

Opponent

“I don’t want to waste time. Once I see I can destroy an opponent early I am going to put him to sleep and not waste any time.

“The crowd loves to see how I knock out people, and they are looking forward to come see me again in September,” he said.

“I have seen a lot of improvements, and when September comes, I will be more advanced and much smoother. So whoever it is I will be fighting will be in for some real problems because my right hand is eating through those guards and causing them all sorts of problems. I just want to continue moving forward. It was a nice victory. I enjoyed it. The fans loved it, so it was good,” Brown added.
