Femke Bol takes 400mh as Janieve Russell gets third

Jamaica’s Commonwealth Games champion Janieve Russell finished third in the women's 400 metres hurdles at the Weltklasse IAAF Diamond League meet in Zurich, Switzerland today.

Russell clocked 53.77 seconds to close her season, behind the Netherlands’ Femke Bol and Panama’s Gianna Woodruff. Bol, the World Championships silver medallist and European champion won the Diamond League title in 53.03 seconds with Woodruff doing 53.72.

World Championships bronze medallist, Jamaica’s Rushell Clayton, finished fifth in 54.25 seconds.
