Clarendon College (CC) had to dig deep to come away with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Central High School in their opening round ISSA daCosta Cup quarter final encounter at Foga Road.

Malachi Douglas came up with the all-important goal in the 39th minute to seal the win for the Lenworth Hyde-coached CC team.

The defensive duel saw the ever-attacking CC team creating very few chances in front of goal, however, the few that materialised were swiftly thwarted by some excellent goalkeeping from Leon Ricketts.
