World Athletics have ratified the under-20 women’s 4x100 metres record set by Jamaica last August at the Under-20 World Athletics Championships in Colombia.

The quartet of Serena Cole, Kerrica Hill, Tia and Tina Clayton clocked 42.59 seconds taking 0.35 off their own record set in Nairobi, Kenya in 2021.

Jamaica, including World Under-20 women’s 200 metres champion Brianna Lyston, clocked a faster time of 42.58 at the Carifta Games in Jamaica in April. However, this was not ratified because a team member was not drug tested after the race.
