Calabar High's Khamani Gordon has been disqualified from last night's Class Two boys' 100 metres final at the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls’ Athletic Championships at the National Stadium.

The decision was made using World Athletics’ technical rule 17.2.2, which adjudged Gordon to have obstructed Kingston College's Nicardo Clarke during the final. The aftermath saw a confrontation between the two. Clarke finished fifth in 10.83 seconds.

The disqualification means Calabar lose the points that Gordon gained in the final and is now tied with St Jago in the boys' standings with 28 points.

The Gleaner understands that both Clarke and Gordon have been given warnings for their actions after the race.
