Five-time world 100m champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce has pulled out of Saturday's Kip Keino Classic in Nairobi, Kenya, because of injury.

Fraser-Pryce, who had been in Kenya since Wednesday, was expected to make her season debut in the 100m, but reportedly suffered a knee injury during training on Thursday, according to meet director Barnabas Korir.

Fraser-Pryce confirmed via social media Friday that she suffered discomfort in her warmup and has left the country to seek treatment.

This is the second time that Fraser-Pryce has been forced to postpone her season as she pulled out of last month's Golden Grand Prix in Botswana because of a family emergency.
