Just over a month since he demolished Mexican Jesus Angel Nerio by way of a first round knockout, Jamaican heavyweight boxer Ricardo ‘Big 12’ Brown will be in the ring against another Mexican, Miguel Angel Flores Gomez, tonight in a fight scheduled for six rounds at the Victoria Conference Centre in Canada. The card is being promoted by Jason Heit’s, Champ Promotions.

Brown has been having a good run since turning professional on February 26, 2022, and has a 7-0 record, with all his fights ending inside the distance. There have been four knockouts and three technical knockouts. Four of the fights ended in the first round, two in the second and the other in the third. Brown told The Gleaner yesterday that he wants to keep busy, and hopes that his opponents will become more competitive.

“When I get inside the ring, I just do what I have to do, and I am looking forward to the fight,” he said yesterday. His opponent has had 15 fights and has been a professional since June 27, 2017. He has a record of three wins, nine losses, and two draws. He has one 10-round contest on his record.
