REYAN LEWIS maintained his hot streak yesterday, booting home four consecutive winners on the 10-race card, including a hat trick for Jason DaCosta, extending their respective dominance atop the jockeys’ and trainers’ standings at Caymanas Park.

Lewis, who started the day on 50 winners, 12 clear of Tevin Foster, went on a roll through races five to eight, guiding home DaCosta’s hat trick of wins – TEKAPUNT, MPRS LINKS and SHE’S MY DESTINY, who easily won the Supreme Ventures Limited 22nd Anniversary Trophy despite spotting the field a few lengths at the start.

Returning in the eighth astride 7-1 shot RAS EMANUEL, Lewis produced the 11-year-old with a rail run inside the final half-furlong to outfinish ALEXA’S LODGE, upstaging DaCosta’s 2-5 favourite, SUPER DUPER, who led the five-and-a-half-furlong event into the straight.

SHE’S MY DESTINY outclassed rivals in the feature after breaking slowly, allowing speedy YELLOWSTONE to set the early splits. Urged by Lewis to pick up the tempo, SHE’S MY DESTINY reeled in YELLOWSTONE turning for home and ran out an easy winner ahead of stablemates KING ARTHUR and MINIATURE MAN.

A proven grade-one runner, SHE’S MY DESTINY, clocked 1:06.2 with topweight 126lb, underlining DaCosta’s dominance of the top rank, which will surely hand him a second consecutive trainers’ title.

Anthony Thomas mopped up the remainder of the programme with back-to-back winners, landing the ninth and 10th astride JOYFUL and ESSENTIAL QUALITY, respectively.

Patrick Lynch saddled two winners, TRADITIONAL LADY in the opening event and JOYFUL in the ninth, moving to 22 wins, maintaining fourth spot in stakes earned behind DaCosta, Anthony Nunes and Gary Subratie.

Racing continues this afternoon with another 10-race programme featuring a mandatory payout on the Reggae 6, which has a carryover in excess of $9 million and could result in a pot of $12 million up for grabs.
