Chanai Jarrett of St Elizabeth Technical High School and Tonyan Beckford of Edwin Allen are the under-18 and under-20 400-metre hurdles national champions after their respective efforts at the JAAA/PUMA National Senior and Junior Championships inside the National Stadium this evening.

Jarrett won the under-18 title in 1:01:52, while Rhodes Hall’s Rhianna Lewis clocked 1:04:51 for second, and Convent of Mercy Academy’s (Alpha) Halyncia Henry took third in 1:05:95.

In the under-20 final, Beckford proved too good, stopping the clock at 58.75 to finish ahead of Excelsior’s T’Kayla Bennett, 1:02:26, and Vanessa Ward, third in 1:04:23.
