Norman Manley’s senior netballers stay perfect

NORMAN MANLEY High School’s senior netball team continued their unbeaten run in Zone E of the ISSA Urban Schoolgirl netball competition on Tuesday, with their latest win coming over Queen’s High School.

In a very close encounter, playing at home, Norman Manley edged the former champions 21-20 to make it four wins in a row and stay on top of the zone, ahead of former champions Gaynstead High, who they will meet on November 6 to decide the winner of the zone.

Norman Manley’s junior team had things much easier on Tuesday, coming out 17-12 winners.

In rural competition on the day, Black River High twice triumphed over St Elizabeth Technical High School in Zone C action. Their junior team had a 13-10 win before their seniors eked out a 24-23 victory.

Competing in Zone H, Brown’s Town High had the biggest win on the day, their juniors spanking Tacky High 43-7.

In other junior matches, Titchfield got the better of Yallahs 28-7 and Morant Bay stopped St Thomas Technical 29-5 in Zone I. In Zone G, Dinthill Technical beat Old Harbour High 24-8, while, in Zone H, Marymount turned back York Castle 15-3. Kemps Hill got by Central High 13-12 in Zone F.
