Jamaicans have got into the Super Bowl frenzy, and leading local sports betting companies JustBet and AnyBet are prepared to cash in on Sunday’s encounter between favourites Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Both entities offer various options that Jamaicans can bet on, with JustBet having over 200 different choices and AnyBet more than 130. There are pre-game bets and live betting options, with the latter taking place while the match is being played.

The pickings include exquiste bets and the usual regular bets like who will win, with both entities offering approximate odds of $1.70 for favourites Chiefs to win and about $2 for 49ers to win. This is based on the teams’ performance for the season.

AnyBet is offering exquisite pre-game bets like who will score the first touchdown, if the first is going to be a defensive touchdown or offensive touchdown, who will win each quarter and who will be leading at halftime. One option for the live better is who is going to score the next touchdown.

JustBet is also offering some similar options as AnyBet, but Mark Archer, technical support manager, says there are bets such as Travis Kelce proposing to his girlfriend and singing celebrity Taylor Swift at the end of the match, which song will halftime performer Usher do last and first and what colour liquid will be poured on the winning coach.

Archer says the widest odds margin is 17-1, which is for a scorigami, a score that has never happened before in a Super Bowl.

According to AnyBet’s general manager, Don Smith, while more betting takes place during the regular season because of the vast array of selections, there are religious gamblers who will grab the opportunity to win big from the Super Bowl.

“In general, the final is always good. When you have more games, there is more betting because there are more options. However, with the final game, some people may not bet as their teams are not there.

“But then, we have hardened gamblers, who are going to bet on who they think is going to win or any other options available,” Smith said.

Meanwhile, according to Archer and Smith, their entities’ outlets islandwide will be operational for the entire game, with bets also available online from their websites.
