Treasure Beach Football Club notched just their third win of the Wray and Nephew Jamaica Premier League yesterday, clipping Harbour View 2-1 in their rescheduled fixture at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Centre.

With the win, Treasure Beach remained 13th in the 14-team table but have moved to within five points of 12th-placed Molynes United.

Harbour View, who are 10th, are three points behind Vere United on 19 points and just a point above 11th-placed Humble Lion.

Harbour View were put on the backfoot early, conceding to Vialley Matotola’s second-minute strike.

Things would get worse for The Stars of the East in the 79th minute when Tedlar Parchment struck brilliantly.

Still, Harbour View would not go away and made things tense again for Treasure Beach three minutes later through Rohan Brown.

There were all of nine minutes of time added, however, there was to be no change in the result.

Treasure Beach had a 2-1 win over Molynes United all the way back in November of 2023, and before that, a 1-0 win over Lime Hall Academy on November 12 had brought them some hope.

Yesterday marked the first time Treasure Beach were getting the better of a traditional team in the league.
