RUN JULIE RUN did exactly what was asked of her, demolishing rivals by four and three-quarter lengths in yesterday’s 1000 Guineas.

Tracking Thornbird Stakes winner BANADURA down the backstretch, RUN JULIE RUN joined the speedster at the top of the lane before pulling clear a furlong and a half out under Reyan Lewis, at odds of 2-5.

A nine-length winner of the Portmore a month ago, RUN JULIE RUN clocked 1:42.1 on a track moist from a brief downpour earlier in the afternoon.

COMEHOMETOME closed from off the pace at odds of 9-2 to secure second ahead of 12-1 outsider BATTLE ANGEL.

Trainer Ian Parsard now faces the decision of whether to race RUN JULIE RUN among colts and geldings in the Jamaica St Leger, or her peers in the Jamaica Oaks, a similar call he had to make with 1000 Guineas winner SHE’S A WONDER in 2021.

Colts and geldings, led by last year’s champion two-year-old and Kingston winner, INTERESTNTIMESAHEAD, head to post for this afternoon’s 2000 Guineas.
