Coach Heimir Gallgrimsson (second right) takes the Reggae Boyz through adjusted drills at the National Stadium earlier today. The training session had to be adjusted to account for an earlier kick-off time for the Reggae Boyz Concacaf World Cup qualifier tomorrow at the same venue.

The problem of lighting at the National Stadium has forced the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) to change the time of its World Cup qualifier against the Dominican Republic tomorrow.

Initially set for a 6:30 p.m. kick-off, the game will now begin at 3:30 p.m. after Concacaf, the sport’s governing body in the region, declared that lights at the National Stadium were still inadequate to host evening games.

The lighting concerns at the National Stadium were previously known, however, a last-ditch effort to improve the situation by Independence Park Ltd, administrators of the National Stadium facilities, still left the conditions below Concacaf’s standards.
