JAAA Trials | Ackelia Smith heads to Paris Olympics as national long jump champion

Despite fouling on five of her six attempts, Ackelia Smith punched her ticket to the upcoming Paris Olympics as the 2024 long jump national champion at the ongoing senior and junior national championships at the National Stadium.
Smith on her third attempt managed to leap to a distance of 6.53 metres.
Chanice Porter took second place cutting the sand at 6.49 metres while Tissana Hickling rounded off the top three spots covering a distance of 6.36 metres.
