The Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) has confirmed Reggae Boyz head coach Heimir Hallgrimsson has tendered his resignation from the national programme following Jamaica's 3-nil loss to Venezuela in the Copa America.

Hallgrimsson was appointed head coach in 2022 and led Jamaica to a semi-finals appearance at the 2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup as well as a historic third-place finish at the recent CONCACAF Nations League.

Under his tenure, Jamaica recorded 10 wins, 10 losses and eight draws.

JFF confirmed the search for his replacement is underway with FIFA World Cup Qualifiers and the CONCACAF Nations League imminent.
