The election of the St Catherine Football Association (SCFA) has been postponed following the Supreme Court's decision to grant an injunction filed by the Royale Lakes Football Club against the SCFA.

The election, which was set to take place on Sunday, has been a cause of concern for several St Catherine-based clubs during the weeks leading up to the date.

The urgent application for the injunction was filed as Royale Lakes FC and several other clubs in the parish alleged that the executive of the SCFA had committed several breaches of the parish association constitution regarding election procedures.

The matter is to be further ventilated by the Supreme Court at a later date.
