In light of the water situation in their parish, residents of Hanover were asked the following question. Do you think the water being supplied to your community by the National Water Commission is adequate?

"I have great service where I live, which is on a hill. Strangely though, persons on the flat complain that they have water pressure issues. In neighbouring communities like Blenheim and Cacoon, though, the residents have no water in their pipes, except for maybe two days out of the year."

- Lisa Kurasch-Macharzina - Old Green Island

"Yes. We have good water supply at all times. Our pipe water comes from the hills of Askenish and it is very reliable."

-Venier Stewart - Chambers Pen

"Yes. It is adequate. I have a strong source of water from the Logwood reservoir over many years. It has worked well for Green Island and other communities. We have never had a serious water supply shortage in Green Island."

-James Thompson - New Green Island

"It is not adequate. We who live on the flat are suffering. The outlying areas of Hopewell like Cacoon, Welcome, Haddington, Rejoin, Great Valley all have no water. We are suffering badly. It needs to be addressed if economic development is to take place."

-Cleveland Wright, Hopewell
