Can't feed them, don't have them

The Editor, Sir:

A report in The Sunday Gleaner stated that a 12-year-old student died of malnutrition and that data revealed that 35 per cent of students in Jamaica are malnourished.

Should we not blame the parents who produce the children whom they cannot feed? The parents of these children should be held responsible for feeding them and not the Government. The sooner they realise this fact, the better off we will be and stop blaming the Government.

We have too many irresponsible parents producing unwanted children in Jamaica. The sooner the poor are made aware that they are their worst enemies, the better off we will be.

I am, etc.,
