Sights and sounds of Champs

And they're off! Girls jump from the blocks almost simultaneously in the 100m action on Day Two of the ISSA/GraceKennedy Girls and Boys' Athletic Championships at the National Stadium.
A South African contingent of students, invited by Minister of Sports Olivia 'Babsy' Grange, are all smiles as they get ready to enjoy a warm Friday afternoon of world-class sprinting.
Cheerleading is not usually a big part of the ISSA/GraceKennedy Girls and Boys' Athletic Championships. However, with the 100th staging of the event, all stops had to be pulled out.
School spirit is never higher than during the three days of Girls and Boys' Championships, and if you were to ask these Kingston College boys, those days last a lifetime!
Calabar students are rarely outdone when it comes to cheering for their favourite athletes, and as early as 2:30 yesterday afternoon these boys were already tuning up their voices for today's final day.

The sights and sounds of the ISSA/GraceKennedy Girls and Boys' Athletic Championships are second to none in the world, and Gleaner photographers Ian Allen and Ricardo Makyn could not help but bring some of them to your pages. Enjoy what we have been enjoying over the last three days, as the championships head into its final and undoubtedly most exciting day.
