BEST PLACE FOR ....Conch soup!

Scott's Cove, the little bay in Westmoreland, just metres away from Font Hill in nearby St Elizabeth, is known for its fish and bammy.
Not to be left out is one man who remembers when the area was a fledging food stop. Vincent Watt has been selling a variety of soups since 1974.
"We used to do mannish water, shrimp and cow head soup too," he revealed. "But now we just do the fish and conch."
He used to catch the fish himself, but has left that to the younger ones for a while now. He remembers the days when the few vendors would trek across the Font Hill bush to the site.
Spicy
And while the usual sight of vendors rushing to potential patrons is run-of-the-mill, Watt has his little spot right in the middle of it untroubled. He uses the regular ground provisions (yam, et al) and natural seasoning (including escallion) but "mi throw in a likkle Easi Spice too," he grinned.
He started with "a little tent with thatch". His spot has changed over the years, after reaching one morning and seeing his tent wrecked by an overzealous motorist.
He said that most of the original sellers had either died or migrated but they had passed on what they knew to younger family members. He, like many others, is waiting for the proposed improvements to the spot, including better seating.
But one thing that won't change is his tasty conch soup.
