Researching late forefather

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I have been researching my great-great-great-grandfather, Edward Louis Theodore Walsh, who died in Savanna-la-Mar and was buried June 22, 1802. He was collector of customs in Savanna-la-Mar.

Can any of your readers give me any information about him or tell me where I should write for any information? Were there any records in Jamaica giving information about collectors of customs? Is there any more information in Jamaica about his death or anything at all about him while he was in Jamaica?

I would be most grateful for anything anybody could tell me.
