JLP tribalist

THE EDITOR, Sir:

For a man who holds no brief for anyone, I find it inexplicable how Mr Ian Boyne could be so generous to Mr Delano Seiveright as to declare that the "young man is not your typical tribalist".

Mr Seiveright's remarks never seem to bear the mark of consideration and responsibility. Listening to the young man gives keen observers the impression that he was the one who wrote the JLP's first manifesto. For me, Mr Seiveright will go down in the annals of Jamaican politics as edging out Mr Seaga as the most tribalist Labourite.

As such, I am not surprised by his call for cleansing of the civil service. That is the voice of the Gestapo.

I am, etc.,
