Off target with tourism thrust

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I totally agree with Lance Neita on the untapped tourist attractions in Jamaica. I would go even further to state that the people involved in the tourism market do not know Jamaica and are content to promote the so-called well-trodden sites.

These people need to get out and explore other possibilities and sites that can be developed and marketed so that they could become even more popular than the now seemingly important sightseeing areas.

Jamaica has a wealth of beautiful geographical and geological sites that could be of significance to visitors, both foreign and local.

Jamaica is one of the most beautiful places on this planet, but those who market the island do not seem to understand this fact.
