On the night of the new moon

She's royal, one of a kind

An excellent find

The one who blew my mind

Blind love

He was never the man you thought he was, can't you see?

He's not the knight in shining armour you want him to be

He whispers his velvet lies and still you continue to believe, and then place him on a pedestal so high not even you can reach

He comes in late every night and you think he's at work

And then you ignore the perfume on his skin and the lipstick on his shirt

You find the numbers in his pocket but you give him the benefit of the doubt

When will you wake up and realise he is nothing but a liar?

Each day you try your hardest to love and please him

But he does nothing but criticise and put you down
