DOING IT MY WAY - Best fried dumplings

Published:Thursday | April 21, 2011 | 12:00 AM

Don't you just love a good fried dumpling? Most people do but not many of us can make them just right. Here is how some people we asked say they do it.

1. In a pan I place my flour, baking powder, salt and butter then knead into a dough. I then place oil in pot and when same is hot I make my dumplings and put them to boil in the oil.

2. I use flour, baking powder and salt, to be flaky I use half milk and half water, knead to small round dumplings and fry in a good amount of oil on low heat slowly. I don't use margarine.

3. My ingredients are flour, baking powder, cooking oil, salt, water.

I pour flour in container, add baking powder, salt, and a bit of cooking oil, then add water and mix, then roll into small balls, heat frying pan, add cooking oil, let oil become hot; add dumplings then lower the flame and cover frying pan. I keep turning them until golden brown.
