Organisers of Smirnoff Daydreams arrived at the concept for this party series out of a need to incorporate all the elements that one would only find in a good dream. They certainly succeeded as last Sunday's staging of the event was the kind of stuff dreams are made of - a pristine white sand beach, grand fare, superb music, excellent decor and amazing ambience.

From the outset, there was high anticipation surrounding the party, added to this was the fear that this would be the last staging at the beautiful Drax Hall Beach due to an impending development in the area. Patrons made sure not to miss out on what was touted to be one of the best parties since the start of the year.

Thousands of partygoers converged on what seemed to be an endless stretch of white sand beach to take in the vibe which was heavily influenced by outstanding booths erected by sponsor companies. The menu boasted selections from Murray's Fish & Jerk Hut's Courtney and Nikki Murray and included garlic shrimp, jerked pork, curried goat, escoveitched fish, vegetable pasta, fish wontons, jerked chicken and smoked sausages. As accompaniments, chicken soup and mannish water, were also being served.

A variety of Smirnoff, Tru-Juice and Pepsi cocktails flowed throughout the evening.

Entertainment

The music by selectors Liquid, Crazy Neil, Timeless and Coppershot only served to heighten the euphoria and excitement at Smirnoff Daydreams. Their selections put the final touch to complete the 'dream'.

PJ Wright of Wright Image extended great appreciation to the many persons who turned out to be a part of the event.

"We are quite pleased with the turnout, we are grateful that persons chose Daydreams as the event to attend today. We put all our effort into creating something wonderful for partygoers and are elated that they have enjoyed it," Wright commented.

This event was the official launch party for Smirnoff Dream weekend 2011. The next staging of the event, Wright disclosed, will be in Negril, Jamaica, on July 30.
