WESTERN BUREAU:

With the theme 'Our Way, The Only Way', the Culinary Federation of Jamaica staged another in the series of fund-raising events at The Palmyra Resort and Spa, Montego Bay, on Saturday, April 30.

The organisation, which comprises the island's executive chefs, aims to take its members on a delectable journey to unveil their prowess at the International Culinary Competition in Miami, from June 22-27.

So, they have joined forces paying tribute to the foods of the land by whipping up some of the most interesting carte du jour that include smoked ackee and vegetables, jerked mushroom and eggplant, escoveitched jackfruit spring roll and stir fried passion fruit vegetables, to name a few.

Chefs in the Palmyra poolside kitchen setting included president of the CFJ, Dennis McIntosh, Jewel Dunn's River's Ravi Anne, Sandals' Veejoruth Purmessur, Half Moon's Steve Sowa, Versair's Daniel Schweizer, Hilton Rose Hall's Michael Dannecker and Rockhouse Negril's Kevin Broderick.

Outlook was there and dishes you a scrumptious serving.
