His Excellency Stephen Hallihan, Canadian high commissioner to Jamaica, may not have had the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at his Canada Day celebrations because the newly wed royals were on Parliament Hill in Ottawa, Canada. Nonetheless, the Seymour Avenue residence of the high commissioner and his wife, Kathy, was the venue for a reception to mark the country's 144th anniversary of Independence on Friday, July 1.
