The Financial Services Commission (FSC) and its licensees were recently on 'top of the world' as the organisation celebrated 10 years of world class supervision of financial services in Jamaica.

The FSC hosted a swanky cocktail soirée on Friday, July 22, at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel to recognise stakeholders for their efforts in over a decade of cooperation and development in the securities, pensions and insurance industries. Under a clear, starry sky and with the lights of the Kingston skyline as a backdrop, the ambience set the tone for the relaxed camaraderie between staff of the regulator and guests.

Guests were fêted to great food and a deliciously eye-catching cake designed by Selena Wong. The entertainment package was guided by master of ceremonies Jerry Benzwick, whose comedic antics kept the programme and the good times rolling. The smooth sounds of Dennis Rushton & Friends and a delightful performance from Jamaica Cultural Development Commission's Festival Song Competition finalist Everton Pessoa who had guests crooning along as he sang and rocked the night away.

Among the guests present were former Executive Director and BOJ Governor Brian Wynter, president & CEO of Scotiabank Jamaica, Bruce Bowen; VP, compliance, at Scotiabank, George Roper; chairman of The Gleaner Company, Oliver Clarke, and other representatives from the legal fraternity, industry associations, members of the media and other stakeholders.
