THE JAMAICA Labour Party (JLP) and the People's National Party (PNP) are to officially confirm two of their marquee new candidates tomorrow.

The JLP is set to introduce Danville Walker, the former director of elections and commissioner of customs, at a media briefing in Mandeville at 3 p.m. tomorrow.

Walker will be the party's standard-bearer in Central Manchester.

In the meantime, the PNP is scheduled to confirm Damion Crawford as its candidate for East Rural St Andrew.

Crawford, the former president of the PNP Youth Organisation, will be introduced at a meeting at the Harbour View Primary School.

The two parties are expected to field approximately 50 first-time candidates in the general election.
