The universe bids us ask for that which we want, believe that we have it and finally to receive, that is, to live in the reality of having what we have asked for. That was Chester Francis-Jackson's game plan for his all-white poolside birthday soirée on Sunday last. Isaac threatened, but the flawlessly professional team at The Spanish Court held fast to their commitment that Jamaica's favourite and highly respected Scribe would have his birthday on the upper pool deck of this fine hotel.

Demonstrating strict adherence to his own dress code, Chester was resplendent in a tropical white ensemble created by artistic maeven, Ashley Martin whose renowned versatility saw her serenading the birthday boy later in the evening.

Libation flowed from Skyy Vodka and Floyd Ffolkes provided entertainment.

Among the elegant ladies and gentlemen seenenjoying the party were: Honourable Edward Seaga and wife, Carla; New Russian Ambassador, Vladimir Polenov; Spanish Ambassador, Celsa Nuno; Phillip Paulwell, Kenny Benjamin, Peggy Blades, Harold Brady, Captain Michael Lyn, Marilyn Bennett, Robert MacMillan, Judy MacMillan, Earl and Beverley Junor, Mark Linehan, Kingsley Cooper and Romae Gordon and many more.
