Thanks, Ms Tomblin, for showing JPS the light
THE EDITOR, Sir:
Almost a couple of years ago, everybody was "angry", including me, with the Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS).
Then suddenly things changed with the appointment of a new CEO.
A vibrant Energy Minister Phillip Paulwell started to pay attention to the people of Jamaica and JPS, attempting to make a big difference. He did, and then a miner's daughter came to Jamaica to head the JPS.
Armed with her credentials and experience, she took the challenge up and is revolutionising the delivery of electricity in Jamaica.
If the lights go out, I can immediately call JPS and know what is happening and approximately when electricity will return.
This lady has calmed down Jamaica's anxiety regarding electricity.
Thank you, Ms Tomblin.
