PNP has gang links, too, Peter

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I am a senior citizen and have been following politics for well over 40 years. During those years, I have seen and heard some disconcerting political tongue-lashing and disgusting behaviour, but I cannot recall a minister of government trying to denigrate an opposition party and the country in which he lives as Peter Bunting did by appearing in an A&E Biography Channel documentary about Christopher 'Dudus' Coke.

Minister Bunting used the opportunity to continue his divisive, dirty politics to lambast the Opposition Jamaica Labour Party as showing devoted allegiance to Coke and the Shower Posse.

The minister painted a dismal picture of the previous Golding administration, linking it with gangsters, while his party and members are a posse of angels.

What Minister Bunting doesn't seem to understand is that people are judged by how they treat their own, and the more you try to denigrate others, it simply shows the flaws in your own character.

Nobody who watched that documentary, Minister Bunting, believes your party doesn't have links with gangsters. You have done yourself more harm than you think.

Minister Bunting, you should know that access to information in today's world is as easy as blowing out a candle. Anybody can find out which party has more links with gangs, which party facilitated gangs more, and which politicians are patriotic.
