POEM OF THE WEEK

My Sunshine

From behind the dark cloudy skies

You appeared so mysteriously

So unexpectedly

Eyes like the darkest midnight

Perfectly sculptured nose

Thick cherry chocolate lips

the face of a bronzed God

Erased my pains. trampled my fears

So expertly you unveiled my

mask

Patiently you restored a broken

soul that

never saw it coming

Never expected it in any way

Gave so selflessly

Waited so patiently

Worked so strenuously

cared so deeply

Like a miracle

A wonder

you graced my life with your

presence

Like a sensuous echo in my

world of silence

Like a cobra, you

preyed and conquered

I am yours, my love

my crystal bowl of pleasantries

Within you I see dreams to

be fulfilled

Aspirations to be reached and kept

My future, my soulmate

You breathe love

You are love

I feel you so heavenly

Green plants emerge

Flowers bloom

The rain dries up

In your presence

You are my house

The place I call home

You turned my heart around

I freely let go

I no longer feel afraid to fall

I soar high above the clouds

Ride on the rhythms above

the stars in the sky

crossing the moon, the horizon

With you I float between the skies and the heavens

completely lost in this new found

bliss

knowing no fear, confident

that you - the wind beneath

my wings

will never let me fall
