Heineken enthrals with fashion

On August 17, supermarket goers were in for a sure surprise on what they thought would be their regular Saturday.

Across the Corporate Area, Heineken 'Opened Your World' bringing something new to Jamaica, a surprise mini runway show, to the delight of shoppers all over.

Stops included the following supermarkets; Sovereign , Loshusan, Brooklyn, MegaMart Portmore and Kingston, and Progressive supermarket in Harbour View. The Inspired six were decked out in Heineken green cigarette pant suits and contrasting red stilettos and were admired by outsiders who were truly intrigued by their presence.

Onlookers watched the beauties arrive at each locale, making their way to the green carpet and sashaying their way throughout the outlets. Viewers cheered for the girls who definitely kept their fierceness intact through all the stunts.

According to Imru James, assistant brand manager of Heineken, "We wanted to do something different, something stylish, something that would make the people look on in amazement. We could not be any more proud of the execution and the excitement it has created around our Heineken Inspire campaign".

The campaign will officially kick off on Wednesday, August 28 at the Heineken Keg, Waterloo Road, Kingston, as the search begins to find the next big star in four categories - music, film, fashion, and art.

Contestants are asked to develop a detailed concept and present it to a panel of judges at any of the three castings on August 31 at Blue Beat, Montego Bay; September 7 at QQ's Bar, Sav-la-Mar; and September 14 at Triple Century, Kingston.

Undoubtedly, Heineken is a brand that has great ties with fashion as they are also sponsors of the highly anticipated Collection MoDA fashion showcase in September at Hope Gardens.
