Christopher Zacca was re-elected as president of the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica (PSOJ) at a council meeting on Wednesday.

The council comprises 50 members who are elected by the PSOJ membership to serve for two years.

Vice-presidents Richard Byles of Sagicor Life of Jamaica, Keith Duncan of The JMMB Group, and Don Wehby of GraceKennedy were also re-elected as vice-presidents, while Christopher Barnes of The Gleaner Company will be retained as honorary secretary, according to a release from the PSOJ.

However, Michele English of Flow Jamaica has replaced Jacqueline Sharp as honorary treasurer.

Sharp resigned after she was named president of Scotia Group Jamaica to focus her energies on her new job as boss of the banking group. She was promoted from chief financial officer, effective September 1.

These council members will sit on the PSOJ executive committee. The committee also includes the representatives of seven associations namely, Jamaica Bankers Association, The Jamaica Employers' Federation, Jamaica Exporters' Association, Jamaica Hotel and Tourist Association, Jamaica Securities Dealers Association, Small Business Association of Jamaica, and the Women Business Owners Association.

Zacca was previously president from 2006 to 2009, and was elected again in 2012, then succeeding Joseph M. Matalon.
