Tessanne Chin the highlight of 'Rising Sun' rhythm

While there has never been any doubt about the vocal ability of Tessanne Chin, it is not often that the reggae-rocker is used as one of the names to drive a riddim.

Chimney Records has released the 'Rising Sun' riddim, and interestingly, Tessanne is one of the artistes featured on it.

The riddim continues Chimney's streak of contemporary reggae releases and also features Tarrus Riley, Chronixx and Kabaka Pyramid, Jah Cure, Zagga, Singing Sweet and Kibaki, I-Octane, Demarco, Christopher Martin, Kelissa, and Bramma.

"The 'Rising Sun' riddim is an acoustic guitar-driven production, with one drop reggae influences, but a modern touch to appeal to both older and younger listeners alike. The instrumentation has an uplifting and happy vibe, which translated into artistes naturally choosing to write songs of inspiration or love to the sounds we created," said Jordan McClure of Chimney Records.

Tessanne's track, called Anything's Possible, was something McClure was keen to talk about.

"After two years of working on reggae productions, 'Island Vibes' riddim, 'Chillspot' riddim, and 'Tropical Escape' riddim, we found that we were ready to work with Tessanne Chin. My production partner, David Hayle, and I, have always been fans of her talent. We're happy that she fell in love with the 'Rising Sun' riddim's instrumental, and chose to record Anything's Possible on it.

Anything's Possible is an inspiring song that we did with Tessanne over a year ago, and it coincidentally relates to her being the first and only Jamaican artiste on The Voice."

Other motivational numbers on the 'Rising Sun' riddim are Jah Cure's Better Way, My Day by Tarrus Riley, and Yes I Can by Christopher Martin.

Zagga makes splash

Chimney Records' flagship artiste, Zagga, makes a big splash on the project with the moving My Destination.

Demarco tackles social commentary with It's Not Right, while Kelissa highlights societal breakdown through her song, Slow Down.

Lovers will find tales of adoration in We Found Love by I-Octane and Bramma's Wah Gwan Mi Darling.

Collaborations on the release are Mi Alright by leading young acts Chronixx and Kabaka Pyramid, with the other being Kibaki and Singing Sweet's eye-opening One More Day. Mi Alright is an Afro-centric song of elevation.

'Rising Sun' riddim will be available for download on iTunes on October 29 and will include the rhythm's 11 songs, and also the instrumentation by Chimney Records. Tessanne Chin's Anything's Possible has already been released on the music platform.
