McDonald selected ICAJ Distinguished Member

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica (ICAJ) has selected Everton McDonald as the 2013 ICAJ Distinguished Member for contribution to the institute and the accountancy profession.

McDonald, a past president of ICAJ, has held various positions at the institute and currently serves as a member of its disciplinary committee. He is also an ICAJ fellow.

McDonald is a former managing partner in the Jamaica office and territory senior partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers and is the founding chairman of PricewaterhouseCoopers Caribbean & Bermuda.

He will be presented with his new ICAJ award at the institute's annual dinner on December 5 in Kingston.

Air Turks & Caicos rebrands

Air Turks & Caicos, the national airline of Turks & Caicos Islands, has changed its name to InterCaribbean Airways ahead of plans to expand its flights deeper into the western Caribbean within coming months, the carrier announced Wednesday.

Air Turks and Caicos currently flies regionally to Kingston, the Dominican Republic, Cap Haitien and Port-au-Prince in Haiti, and Nassau in The Bahamas; and domestically to Grand Turk and South Caicos. It operates a fleet of Embraer 120 and Beech 99 aircrafts.

The new brand was developed by Lila Design Associates of The Netherlands.
