WESTERN BUREAU:

Courts customers in the tourism capital of Montego Bay now have the flexibility of three to 24 months to purchase their eyewear on credit from the new Courts Optical store at Bogue, Fairview Shopping Centre.

The revolutionary approach has seen the company, known for specialising in household items, opening its fifth optical store within 12 months while announcing a sixth by year end.

"No other optical store offers that kind of value and flexible payment plan to its customers. Courts Optical understands that purchasing eyewear can be expensive and that not all Jamaicans will be able to afford the one-time payment to cover such a high cost," said Courts' managing director, Dennis Harris, during a ceremony marking the official opening.

deciding how they pay

He added that it was important to offer his customers the choice of deciding how they pay. "The flexibility of credit affords customers the opportunity to pay for their eye-wear over a period of time - all while enjoying the benefits and conveniences of their eyewear."

Courts Optical accepts major health cards as well.

Like good corporate citizens, Harris and his team gave back to the community by donating eye-care gift certificates (free eye testing, prescription lens and frames) to 10 high-school students - five each from the Herbert Morrison Technical High School and the Montego Bay High School.

"Courts is pleased to be a part of the process of building Jamaica, investing in the country, and stimulating the economy through job creation as we continue to expand and grow our business," said Harris.
