AAMM Co-operative Credit Union recently spent $1m to renovate the Albert Street Basic School, located in the inner-city community of Franklyn Town, Kingston. The school was outfitted with a new roof, kitchenette, play area and garden, along with much-needed appliances.

Staff members from the credit union, along with residents and teachers, joined together on November 9, to plant shrubs and miniature fruit trees at the learning facility, which helped to lift the spirits of children and community members.

The credit union adopted the school more than 20 years ago and its contributions continue to positively impact the lives of the children.
