Tech NEWS - Samsung highlights @ CES 2014
So, Tech Times got the privilege to be at CES this year and words can't explain the wonders of technology that your eyes will behold at an event like this. This week, I'll convey the wonders that Samsung had on display at this global event. First off, I must point out that Samsung had one of the biggest section at CES 2014. It would be impossible to fit all that they had to offer in one article, so I'll slim it down a bit and look at the main highlights they had.
Samsung Note Pro And Tab Pro Line
Samsung seem to be the only company that has a tablet to satisfy everyone's taste and they are continuing this trend with the newly announced Note Pro and Tab Pro line. The Samsung Tab Pro 8.4 was one of the most viewed products at the Samsung booth and, after seeing it in person, its hard not to fall in love with this small powerful tablet.
This tablet comes with HD display (2560 x 1600), quad-core 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, 8-megapixel main camera, 2-megapixel front-facing camera and 2GB of RAM, memory card slot, a 4,800 mAh battery and Android 4.4 KitKat. This is a monster of a tablet that can be held in the palm of your hand. The next beast worth mentioning is the Samsung Note Pro 12.2 that is a goliath of a tablet that has S-pen functionality.
The Note Pro 12.2 specification sheet reads like the missing part of an alien warship. It will come in two models to my understanding and that will either be has a true Octa-Core ( Exynos 5 Octa) or a respectable Quad-Core Snapdragon 800 chipset clocked at 2.3GHz with both having 3GB of RAM. One thing that all the Pro tablets had in common is the new Samsung Magazine UX. Who knew Samsung would develop such a great way of seeing a multitude of news feed, app info, weather, emails and so on by just glancing on the home pages of the device.
Samsung Galaxy Camera 2
This camera has a quad-core processor that runs at 1.6GHz, 2GB of ram, 720p display, and Android 4.3 (Jellybean). It has 16MP, 1/2.3" size sensor, pop-up xenon flash, optical image stabilization, accelerometer, and compass. Looking at it now, I would say that this thing has better specification than the galaxy S3!!! After some one on one time with this camera, I can say that the UI is flawless and simply. Also, the quality of the pictures I took with it at the show was remarkably detailed, even in zoomed shots.
Look out in next week's Tech Times to find out what gadgets will rule in 2014.
