English promoted to Columbus Int'l VP

COLUMBUS INTERNATIONAL Inc on Tuesday announced the promotion of Michele English, current president and chief operating officer of Columbus' operations in Jamaica, operators of Flow and Columbus Business Solutions, to the newly created role of executive vice-president and chief customer officer. English will commence her new role effective July.

In making the announcement, president of Columbus' Caribbean operation, John Reid, emphasised the importance of Engish's new position as part of Columbus' strategic plan to be the 'Best Service Provider' and 'Employer of Choice' in the region.

According to Reid, "With operations now in eight countries and this year being our 10th anniversary, we must position ourselves to create a seamless experience for our more than 600,000 customers across the region." He continued: "Michele will have ultimate responsibility for the entire customer experience. This goes beyond the traditional approach to customer service, to include all touch points, including our product offering, channels, communications, technology, systems, processes and people."
