Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, and his wife, Sophie, the Countess of Wessex, will make an official visit to Jamaica from March 2-5.

The prince will be in the island for the Duke of Edinburgh's Awards ceremony. He is the international trustee and chairman of the international council, the operating authority which controls the programme and standards in 140 countries.

In order to support the development of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Programme, the local council of the award will also be hosting the Duke of Edinburgh's Cup, a golf tournament, on March 2 at the Caymanas Golf Club in St Catherine.
