Mavado hits the studio with hip hop icon LL Cool J

The name Mavado is no stranger to the music industry, whether you love hip hop, R&B, reggae or techno.

Signed to hip hop mogul DJ Khaled's We the Best Music, dancehall superstar Mavado continues to break barriers and raise the bar for dancehall and music.

Last week, while in New York, Mavado recorded a song with hip hop icon LL Cool J. The song is said to be a single that will shake the music world.

"The song is one everyone will enjoy. LL Cool J is loved by the ladies and respected by the thugs, suh, you done know, it's a good look. It was an honour and a joy to have the opportunity and to know an icon like LL Cool J respect dancehall and the Gully Gad," said Mavado.

Mavado has eyes set on his upcoming performance at the third annual Philadelphia Reggae in the Park Festival on August 3.

He is set to perform with his band on the show which is being held at the Mann Centre.

Mavado is known for his plethora of hits such as So Special, Dreaming, Delilah and Give it All to Me, which features Nicki Minaj, just to name a few.

Mavado will share the stage with reggae icons Steel Pulse and Inner Circle, as well as Morgan Heritage, Jewish reggae singer Matisyahu and fellow dancehall artiste Konshens.
