The minority opposition Dominica Freedom Party (DFP) denied that it made proposals to the acting Chief Justice of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) Supreme Court, Sir Brian Alleyne to rejoin the party.
Sir Brian, 65, served as a minister in the cabinet of former DFP governments led by the late Dame Eugenia Charles in the 1970s.
He will retire in April and told the weekly Sun newspaper that he is not planning a re-entry into politics.
DFP Chairman, Felix Wilson denied that the party had approached Sir Brian, on the issue of returning to the party as an active politician.
